Mobile Home Park Contamination Claim Settled

A Virginia jury awarded a $9 million settlement to the owners of a mobile home park after they sued the county, claiming that the neighboring landfill polluted their drinking water and made their land and business unsellable. The suit was first filed in 2002 after testing revealed that chemicals from the landfill were leaking into the park’s drinking water.
